The lovely 2022 Suchots from Domaine de l'Arlot is complex and nuanced, with a sweet, silky curranty fruit and plenty of depth from mint, black tea, and earth notes. The texture is fresh and lively, with good acidity and firm tannins. The grapes come from a 0.85-hectare parcel in the upper portion of the vineyard; they are destemmed and gently fermented on native yeasts before ageing in cask (40% new). This wine will benefit from a couple of years in the bottle before opening.
