An overtly floral nose enjoys added breadth in the form of the pure essence of earthy red and black cherry and spice aromas that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The medium weight plus flavors possess a positively gorgeous mouthfeel that, like the Griotte, are bold yet lilting while displaying excellent intensity on the driving finish that flashes the hallmark austerity of a young Bonnes Mares. This is superb, indeed the word brilliant comes to mind and 2019 is an auspicious first vintage for this wine.
