A distinctly cooler nose derives more from the red side of the fruit spectrum while displaying additional notes of spice, earth, game and just enough wood to notice. There is outstanding intensity and almost as much pungent minerality as the Latricières that definitely adds a sense of lift to the muscular, powerful and compact finale. This is primary to the point of being backward so I would only recommend buying it if you're committed to extended cellaring as it would be infanticide to pop a bottle in the first few years.
