Like the Latricières, the nose is ripe, cool and restrained while featuring elegant aromas of overtly spicy and earthy red cherry liqueur and discreet newly turned earth nuances. There is fine concentration to the intense, palate staining and muscular flavors that contrast with the very compact, austere and somewhat awkward finish. This may well better harmonize but at present it's not particularly harmonious. Note that my rating offers the benefit of the doubt that a few years of keeping will help.
