In contrast to the prior wines, here the wood and menthol elements are no longer subtle though I would not describe them as invasive either on the markedly floral and moderately exotic aromas of poached pear, passion fruit, white peach and discreetly citrus-inflected scents. The mouthfeel is an exercise in contrasts as it's at once creamy yet intensely citrusy with almost painful intensity to the big-bodied flavors that deliver outstanding length on the slightly warm and seriously compact finish where the wood resurfaces. This will definitely need time to integrate the wood but overall, it's very promising.
