Note: from a 1.5 ha parcel. Subtle though not imperceptible wood sets off the equally brooding and reticent dark berry aromas liberally laced with both the sauvage and earth scents. The old vines are very much in evidence as there is equally good mid-palate density to the sappy and beautifully textured medium-bodied flavors that exude a more subtle bead of minerality on the dusty, serious and very much built-to-age finale that goes on and on.
