Description
Roberto Voerzio’s Langhe Nebbiolo “Disanfrancesco” is widely regarded as a declassified Barolo—often described as a “baby Barolo” of exceptional quality. Sourced from young vines in and around premier La Morra sites such as Brunate, it shares the pedigree of his top wines while offering earlier accessibility. The vineyards are planted at high density (6,000–8,000 vines per hectare) with low yields of around 1 to 1.5kg per vine.
Light ruby in colour, the nose is gently earthy, with notes of freshly tilled soil and hay, layered with rose and freshly crushed raspberries. Lifted and vibrant, it shows a refined intensity that easily rivals many Barolos.
