The vines are sourced from west-facing vineyards in La Morra, grown predominantly on calcareous clay soils, where a continental climate ensures balanced ripening. Typically deep ruby in colour, the wine opens with notes of dark cherry, tobacco, leather and a hint of incense. The palate is both juicy and refined, with plum and black cherry framed by fresh, silky acidity and fine tannins.
